In a decision upholding the First Amendment, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled key parts of an Idaho “ag-gag” law are unconstitutional.

The court asserted the officer couldn’t have known force was “clearly unreasonable” given “lack of guiding precedent,” and granted him immunity for his actions.

An appeals court ruled the CIA and other agencies have no right to “resist disclosure” if a requester fails to adequately describe records they request via FOIA.
