To Honor Ray Bradbury (1920-2012): Some Ideas to Memorize
Science fiction writer Ray Bradbury died on Tuesday at the age of 91. From the New York Times: By many estimations Mr. Bradbury was the writer most responsible for bringing modern science fiction into the literary mainstream. His name would appear near the top of any list of major science-fiction
ECB Declines to Lower Rates, Still Waiting for European Leaders to Act
The European Central Bank announced today that it would not lower its bank lending rate from the current 1%. Although it’s not clear now much benefit a rate reduction would have achieved, observers had hoped the ECB would at least signal in some way it’s willingness to do much more to support the falling economies in Europe and particularly the Euro zone nations. But ECB head Mario Draghi threw cold water on that.

Leave it the Washington Post’s Mr. Pinocchio, Glenn Kessler, to misinform readers again by providing useless, irrelevant information and then misreading it. Today’s contribution to the dumbing of America is a chart the wizards of WaPo created to compare the job creation performance of Mitt Romney with that of President Obama. What?
Now the first thing you must be asking yourself is, how is such a comparison even possible?

No Myth Left Behind: 46% Fail First Test Question on Evolution
Gallup released its annual results on the question of American beliefs regarding evolution/creationism. Once again, the creationists manage to sustain a set of beliefs that can only persist after a determined effort to withhold facts, sources and the imagination to keep them from their own children.
