Voters in Arizona will decide whether or not to allow medical marijuana for seriously and terminally ill patients at the ballot box this November. If passed, Proposition 203 will protect legitimately ill medical marijuana patients from arrest and prosecution.
Prop 203 also contains strong regulation to ensure that only prescribed patients can purchase medical marijuana from licensed doctors. Prop 203 provides for the necessary restrictions on medical marijuana use — driving under the influence, smoking in public and other forms of recreational use will still be prohibited by law. In all, Prop 203 is a commonsense approach that will provide greater access and protection to medical marijuana to patients in Arizona, while putting an end to our state’s cruel and unusual policy of arresting those in need.
