Sepp Blatter was reelected today to a fifth term as president of FIFA

Reuters is reporting,

Sepp Blatter was re-elected president of FIFA for a fifth term on Friday after the only other candidate conceded defeat after a first round of voting in an election overshadowed by allegations of corruption in world soccer.

Blatter’s victory came despite demands that he quit in the face of a major bribery scandal being investigated by U.S., Swiss and other law enforcement agencies that plunged the world soccer body into the worst crisis in its 111-year history.

Neither Blatter nor Jordanian challenger Prince Ali bin Al Hussein got the necessary two thirds of the vote in the first round, with Blatter on 133 and Prince Ali on 73. Prince Ali later conceded.

In a victory speech, Blatter declared: “Let’s go FIFA, let’s go FIFA,” to a standing ovation.

While Asian, African and Latin American states had been expected to rally around Blatter, Europe, which accounts for all but three of the countries that have ever made it to a World Cup’s final match, had been keen for him to step aside.

On a visit to Berlin, British Prime Minister David Cameron told Blatter to go “the sooner the better”. Chancellor Angela Merkel said the dirty side of soccer must be cleaned up.

I do not see anything encouraging about this development, although I cannot say I am surprised. FIFA corruption is wide, deep and no secret. I believe Blatter’s reelection confirms that, even though he was not indicted by the federal grand jury that indicted 14 others earlier this week.

For more information on the federal indictment go here to read my article, Memo to US Attorney General Loretta Lynch: More Indictments Like FIFA Please.

Speaking of corruption, former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (R), who was selected to replace Bob Livingston (R) who withdrew his name from consideration after being selected to replace Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House for corruption problems, was indicted this week for structuring multiple cash transactions in amounts less than $10,000 in order to evade the IRS requirement that cash transactions exceeding $10,000 must be reported to the IRS

Why did he do that? According to the indictment he was paying off someone to keep quiet about something he did during the 60s when he was a high school teacher and wrestling coach.

And what might that have been? Reports this afternoon on MSNBC say that two unnamed government sources say it had to do sex.

And Hastert was picked to be Speaker of the House because he was ‘squeeky clean.’

I can’t figure out whether to throw up or pop some corn and watch the news.

When does the clock on the statue of limitations for child abuse start? One would think charges against a person as powerful as Dennis the clock would never start because a guy like Dennis can disappear you like an American Nun in South America when the School for the America’s boys come to the village.

Why did it take so long to indict Dennis one transaction over the limit is supposed to result in the bank reporting you to the government. If a Muslim said I withdrew $10,000 dollars for personal use once never mind a few times and could not explain where the money went he would likely end up being tortured.

Sepp Blatter is either a stooge or a crook. I lean toward crook because FIFA has been thoroughly corrupt and more criminal enterprise than soccer federation for years. Either way he should not be running FIFA.

I have a different take on this slimey bit of kabuki:

    Complements of Der Spiegel

The US is like Wile E Coyote, trying to foil the Russian Roadrunner, any way it can. This time, the US tries to use an Acme Bomb to destroy world soccer — all because Russia is hosting the 2018 World Cup.

So what’s all the noise about, all of a sudden, two days before the crucial FIFA presidential elections?

Meet Chuck Blazer. Blazer didn’t come from money. Classmates said he grew up working behind the counter at his family’s stationery store and newsstand, Blazer’s, in Rego Park, a heavily Jewish middle-class neighborhood in Queens. But he went to Forest Hills High School, one of those legendary New York brain factories that pumps out generation after generation of talent.

Blazer was for 21 long years secretary general of Concacaf, the American branch of FIFA and UEFA sister organisation. The DoJ used Blazer as a FIFA mole, when they charged him with corruption as early as 2011 and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse: go to jail or cooperate. Blazer paid $1.9 million taxes and began to cooperate, with hidden microphones and all, which led to the arrest of seven FIFA officials, all from the Americas. Mind you, they are arrested, not yet convicted, although that could very well happen.

You got that “Americas” part, right?

This is the corrupt Western Hemisphere we’re talking about, here.

The corrupt, bankrupt, and dying US empire? It has ZERO to do with Europe.

So what does the US hope to achieve?

They hope to torpedo the candidate of ‘Old Europe’ Sepp Blatter and replace him with a Jordanian lightweight Prince Ali bin Hussein, married to a former CNN journalist and Algerian-born Rym Brahimi, daughter of Lakhdar Brahimi, United Nations Special Representative for Afghanistan, all weak-willed Neocon/NWO material.

The Jordanian prince can be expected to do whatever the US instructs him to do, read: deny Russia the right to host the World Championship in 2018.

    Bye bye, Miss American Pie.
Everything you touch turns to shit.

(Be nice to Europe. They may offer your children and grandchildren a “Right to Return” — and in doing so, save their lives.)

Obama Admin will go down in history as the most vindictive admin since the last one. He is telling the truth about transparency but it refers to motives rather than open government.

I also find it impossible to believe that anyone would investigate rampant corruption because they want to expose rampant corruption.

but you’re just not looking deeply enough….if the USA is doing something it can only be because their israeli overlords have commanded them to do it…….

….all of us real cool kats and kittens know that this is being done to stifle the complaints of the Palestinian footballers.

In the parlance of the day, DOJ went after the ‘low hanging fruit,’ which is OK with me, but they need to go after the criminal banks who are inflicting devastating damage. That’s way more important.

Not sure about Illinois, but civil statutes of limitations for sexual assaults on kids in many states don’t start to run until the child turns 21. I think he was probably afraid of the negative publicity that would come from being sued.

Look at what’s happening to Josh Duggar.
