What to expect from a flood of Cuban refugees

Obama has announced new relations with Cuba assuming the Republicans and Dem Cuban politicians who all hate the idea for some reason don’t scare Obama into back tracking it seems reasonable to expect thousands if not millions of Cubans to  come to America and stay in a few years as relations with Cuba improve.

Rubio, Cruz, Jeb all make the case they can win over Cubans in Florida a Presidential must win swing state for the GOP but they can’t do that if Cubans across the country can travel back to Cuba and see their relatives at first, then use their wealth in connection with their relatives connections in Cuba to open businesses the first American tobacco company to import Cuban cigars will make a fortune.  Cuban Sugar will save millions of Americans from corn syrup, sugar substitute  caused diabetes and bring back to America all the candy making jobs that left America because sugar prices in America were to high thanks to the embargo on Cuba. Imagine having real sugar in a can of Coke again instead of corn syrup Mexican Grocery stores sell real sugar pop trust me the difference is noticeable.

Next college a country with a near 100 % literacy rate is sure to send students to our colleges and Cuba’s medical schools will attract many America Medical students.

Rubio, Cruz, Jeb however have to stop Obama from normalizing relations with Cuba without angering Cubans who want to see home, friends and family before they die.  They certainly cannot let thousands let alone millions of Cubans come to America thanking Obama for making it possible because every Cuban once they set foot on American soil is legal and then can begin the process to become citizens.

That leaves Rubio, Cruz, Jeb to scream about Cuban human rights abuses and mistreatment of political prisoners as far as human rights abuses go just how many African Americans have been shot by police just this year? We can ask Bradley Manning about the mistreatment of political prisoners  we can also ask

Nun sentenced: Along with Sister Megan Rice (an octogenarian nun), a federal judge sentenced two other protesters to more than five years, after the three broke into a high-security, nuclear weapons complex in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Sister Dorothy Marie Hennessey, who is 88, and Sister Gwen L. Hennessey, who is 68, have been sentenced to six months each in a federal prison — the maximum penalty — for trespassing at a United States military school that trains Latin American soldiers.
The protesters point to trials and investigations that concluded that the school’s graduates participated in atrocities, including the assassination of Archbishop Romero and the massacre of an estimated 800 Salvadorans in and around the village of El Mozote, El Salvador. Among the school’s graduates are Gen. Manuel Noriega of Panama, Raoul Cedras of Haiti and the late Roberto d’Aubuisson of El Salvador,

America locks up Nuns who try and stop America  from killing innocent people in South America but we object to Cuba jailing political dissidents. Also

Black youth are arrested for drug crimes at a rate ten times higher than that of whites

The study, which was published Monday in the Archives of General Psychiatry, controlled for variables like socioeconomic status because rates of severe drug problems tend to be greater amongst the poor. Despite this, Native American youth fared worst, with 15% having a substance use disorder, compared to 9.2% for people of mixed racial heritage, 9.0% for whites, 7.7% for Hispanics, 5% for African Americans and 3.5% for Asians and Pacific Islanders.

Imagine being arrested for drug crimes at 10 times the rate Whites are but as a group you use drugs almost 50% less than whites do 9% drug use for Whites 5% drug use for African Americans but Rubio, Cruz, Jeb won’t say a word about the rights of people in America to not be oppressed by the police.

In 2013, the municipal court in Ferguson — a city of 21,135 people — issued 32,975 arrest warrants for nonviolent offenses, mostly driving violations.

Last year, Ferguson collected $2.6 million in court fines and fees. It was the city’s second-biggest source of income of the $20 million it collected in revenues.

Rubio, Cruz, Jeb should worry that the expected Cuban refugees to America many of who are Brown if not Black and all likely to speak English with an accent even if they are White might just do the math

Cuba 510 per 100,000  people in prison America 707 per 100,000 people in prison

and realize they had things better in Cuba and go home after a few years Free Medical care is a quality of life issue who cares how much money you make if you don’t have your health?

Cuba’s literacy rate of 99.8% is among the highest in the world – higher than that of both Britain and the US.

Life expectancy is an impressive 79. Infant mortality is 4.83 deaths per 1,000 live births compared (better than the US figure of 6.0,

We still beat Cuba in life expectancy barely, it is shocking that the richest nation on earth does not beat Cuba in infant mortality rates what is money compared to your children?

Cuba has the lowest HIV prevalence rate in the Americas. There is one doctor for every 220 people in Cuba – “one of the highest ratios in the world, compared with one for every 370 in England.”

The quality of Cuba’s education is recognised at the top international levels; for example, Cuba is ranked at number 16 in UNESCO’s Education for All Development Index, higher than any other country in Latin America and the Caribbean (and higher than the US, which is ranked at number 25).

I don’t see Cuba rushing to send their poor students to Charter schools. I don’t see the rich who support charter schools like Bill Gates sending their kids to Charter schools I think Cuban refugees very well might go back to Cuba to raise their kids after they get live here a few years. I don’t think the American ego could take that but can you imagine how people would react if Cubans who grew up in America decide to start moving back to Cuba after they visit Cuba assuming relations with Cuba get better and allow for free travel between the countries.
