Late Late Night FDL: Ghost Hunt

Muppet LabsGhost Hunt.  It is not just Muppet Labs that are looking for ghosts.  We all are.  The ghost of our democracy.  The ghost of our Constitution and its protections.  The ghost of an independent press.  The ghosts of elected officials enacting the will of the people.  The ghost of the rule of law.

I am thankful I found Firedoglake and am proud to call it my online home.  Here, the truth still exists.  There is no corporation putting shareholder profits over reporting the truth.  At FDL you find the news that is not reported by Wall Street media.  At FDL, you find journalism covering whistleblowers like Snowden, Manning, and Kiriakou, marijuana reform, marriage equality, efforts to reduce mass incarceration, fracking, and the ongoing nuclear disaster at Fukushima.  Here you will find support for protesters and community organizing such as Occupy, Tar Sands/Keystone XL,  the Detroit Water Brigade, Ferguson, and reporting on police brutality and the militarization of the police.  FDL puts movements ahead of politicians and parties.

If you are able, please consider donating today to help Firedoglake stay online

It takes money to keep FDL going.  It takes money to put down the attacks on the site.  It takes money to upgrade and update our site to bring about a more stable, modern version of Firedoglake.

Can you donate $10 to help protect Firedoglake?

What’s on your mind?

I am a host of Late Late Night FDL music and cartoon posts in addition to spending most evenings behind the FDL backstage curtain flipping levers. Used to be a practicing heterosexual but now it appears that I am just a consultant. Avid reader since teaching myself how to read when four. Navy brat and first born so always thinking of the consequences. Double Irish so I usually got caught. Turned my misspent youth around and became that scary thing in your rear view mirror. Retired from the Fremont (California) Police Department after 24 years of sworn and non-sworn duties, including Patrol and the Crimes Against Persons Unit. Currently living on the North Oregon Coast with Token, cutest dog in the world (10 lb category), where I enjoy taking non-crime scene photographs, writing at my own blog, TwoTonGreenBlog, and working backstage at Firedoglake.
