Lil’ Jon Is Turning Out for Marijuana Legalization This November

Rock the Vote has a new music video featuring Lil’ Jon encouraging people to turn out to vote for issues important to them. From Rock the Vote:

Lil’ Jon’s reason for turning out to vote this year is marijuana legalization.

While his giant joint is a comical prop, it is actually one of the best reasons to vote this year given that marijuana legalization is actually on the ballot this November in Alaska, Oregon and the District of Columbia. The polling shows a very close race for the initiatives in Alaska and Oregon, so more people turning out to vote for legalization in those place can make a real and immediate difference.

Not only would they legalize marijuana locally, but having at least one of these two states approve legalization during a traditionally low turnout midterm election would provide significant momentum for other efforts across the country and the world.
