The rubble, make it bounce higher!

Strange Rubble by Joseph Hatfield via flickr

Because clearly years of overwhelming firepower have done the trick…if the trick is to keep escalating to exercise your overwhelming firepower.

Binyamin Netanyahu has instructed the Israeli military to “intensify even further” its assault on the Gaza Strip… The air assault continued throughout Wednesday morning bringing the Palestinian death toll to 32 in two days, including several senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants. More than 150 people have been injured. There have been about 440 air strikes since the beginning of the week.

And I’m sure it has worked and sure I am overstating whether the retaliation is disproportional?

Well, no and no.

One hundred and sixty-five rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel in the past 24 hours, according to Israeli military estimates. There have been no reports of deaths from the rocket attacks.

To be continued…apparently indefinitely…and profitably for a few.

Over Easy

In 1949, I decided to wrestle professionally, starting my career in Texas. In my debut, I defeated Abe Kashey, with former World Heavyweight boxing Champion Jack Dempsey as the referee. In 1950, I captured the NWA Junior Heavyweight title. In 1953, I won the Chicago version of the NWA United States Championship. I became one of the most well-known stars in wrestling during the golden age of television, thanks to my exposure on the Dumont Network, where I wowed audiences with my technical prowess. I was rumored to be one of the highest paid wrestlers during the 1950s, reportedly earning a hundred thousand dollars a year. My specialty was "the Sleeper Hold" and the founding of modern, secular, Turkey.

Oops, sorry, that's the biography of Verne Gagne with a touch of Mustafa Kemal.

I'm just an average moron who in reality is a practicing civil rights and employment attorney in fly-over country .
