Beware the Ides of March

The Death of Julius Caesar

Today’s the 2,076th anniversary of the assassination of the original Emperor, Julius Caesar (not accounting for the changeover to the newfangled Gregorian Calendar in 1752* — *at least here in the colonies, your calendar zone may differ (YCZMD)). Obviously Caesar did not heed the soothsayer’s advice about being ware.

To commemorate the occasion I give you Shakespeare’s version of the critical scenes, as interpreted by filmmaker Joseph Mankiewicz.
