VIDEO: This Is Curl

“Our planet Earth, as we know it, is unique. It contains life even in its most barren stretches. It’s rich with oddities. In all my years of exploration, these are the creatures I find most curious…”

David Attenborough, who would be a gold medalist if documentary narration was an Olympic sport, brings us curling.

Focusing on the face-off between Team GB and Team USA in the women’s competition, Attenborough narrates a clip of the game describing the curlers ‘gently but flamboyantly launching an oversized walnut down the frozen river.’

“The aim of this ritual is to land your walnut in the center of the nest.”

I agree with Ryan Glasspiegel, he really should narrate everything.
