Our Health Care System is the Trifecta of Terrible

It is hard to look at this chart and not conclude our health care system is simply terrible. From JAMA study “The Anatomy of Health Care in the United States” (via Incidental Economist)

We have by far and away the most expensive health care system in the world and we are getting nothing for it. Not only are our health outcomes not better than the rest of the first world, they are noticeably worse.

Our health care system is the trifecta of terrible: expensive, incredibly confusing and inefficient. Unfortunately, many Americans don’t seem to really grasp how bad things are.
