FDL Movie Night: Holiday TV Specials

The winter holidays bring with it holiday TV programming, either specials, or the Very Special Holiday Episodes where viewers are subjected to delighted to celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah with their favorite television characters.  Tonight we’re subjecting entertaining you with three vintage specials: The condensed version of the Star Wars Christmas special in which we meet  Chewbacca’s family and learn how utterly beholden George Lucas as was to his production company (it seriously sucks and you can view the full show here); an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents; and the very funny “Christmas and Hard Luck Kid” from the first season of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, in which Mary learns that she must work both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, just like us here on the interwebs. Because the world doesn’t stop just because it’s Xmas.

What holiday episodes of shows have you watched and enjoyed? Or cringed at?
