Dinesh D’Souza: America ‘Will Survive Grown-Up Trayvon in the White House’

Honestly, what is wrong with conservatives that they just can not handle a black president, its not even subtle anymore.

Dinesh D’Souza, ironically the author of The End of Racism, tweeted that Barack Obama was a “Grown-up Trayvon.” And yes I’m calling Dinesh D’Souza a racist so feel no need to claim I’m playing cute word games. Unless it is some epic typo the sentiment behind the comment shows a bigoted attitude towards African-Americans and their sensitivities.

But this should not be that surprising. D’Souza has made a career out of trolling the black community winning funds and praise from white conservatives – most recently with his documentary film 2016: Obama’s America wherein D’Souza offers an asinine analysis of Barack Obama’s political career as being predicated on deep anti-colonial and anti-white sentiments. The only evidence (to be generous with the word evidence) D’Souza presents of this abysmal reservoir of white hatred is that President Obama returned a Winston Churchill statue. The rest of the film is a long line of non sequiturs and projections based on the most malevolent and bizarre readings of events and statements.

D’Souza has yet to offer an explanation for his Trayvon tweet, though he did delete it. Perhaps he is hoping everyone just forgets. But that is asking way too much for someone who has made money and fame off of accusing others of being racists.

Yet everyone, of all colors and creeds, enjoys a laugh. So go ahead Dinesh, explain how calling Obama a “grown-up Trayvon” wasn’t racist.
