Bad Roll Out Finally Moves Obamacare’s Polling Numbers
For years opinions about the Affordable Care Act have remained remarkably entrenched, but now that the law is going from an abstract idea to a real system that is directly impacting the livings of Americans that has started to change. We are seeing first real movement in popular opinion about the law and it has clearly lost support because of the incompetence surrounding Healthcare.gov. From Gallup:
The results mirror Quinnipiac’s polling and this is bad news for Democrats.
The one tiny silver lining for the Democratic Party is that it shows people are willing to change their mind about the law based on well the law is working, or not. Theoretically, if the administration can get its act together they could make the law more popular by making it function properly.
This is a great reminder that good policy makes good politics. Maybe if Democrats didn’t go with such a poorly designed and corrupt law they would be far more popular at the moment.
