A New Record Low for Congress

Just when you thought Congressional job approval ratings couldn’t get any lower, they managed to set a new record. According to Gallup, Congress’s job approval rating is in the single digits for the first in the four decades that they have been polling the question. From Gallup:

I was expecting at least a slight bounce up from the low during the government shutdown, but instead it has dropped even further since last month.

At what point does a major part of our government become so dysfunctional and despised that people start seriously talking about significant structural reforms?
