Chris Christie Wins Re-election

Photo op for 2016?

As soon as polls closed NJ Gov. Chris Christie was declared the winner in his re-election bid. While we will need to wait for the final vote total, exit polling shows that Christie won by a wide margin over Democrat Barbara Buono. Christie didn’t just win, he spent the time and money to assure he would dominate tonight.

This election is the beginning of Christie’s possible 2016 run for President. One of his big selling points will be electability. He has proven that he can not only win in a blue state but he can win big in a blue state. He can carry independents and even has crossover appeal with Democrats.

Depending on how events play out in the future Democrats may look back on this election has a real missed opportunity to bloody up Christie. Right now he looks very strong.
