San Antonio Passes Non-Discrimination Ordinance After a Hard Fought Battle

Yesterday, San Antonio, TX passed a non-discrimination ordinance after a long and contentious debate in which Fox News and various members of the religious right told lie after lie, national figures such as Glenn Beck and Sen. Ted Cruz weighed in to stop the ordinance, and the lgbt community was inundated with vulgar testimony having more to do with people talking about sex acts and the Bible than addressing the fact that lgbts have families and right.

This was a truly hard-fought victory and though it’s never time to stop when it comes to pressing for lgbt equality, let’s break that rule briefly here and enjoy the moment.

The folks who fought for this ordinance truly “left it all on the field.”
