Late Night: LADEE Launch

At 11:27 EDT the LADEE (laddie) rocket blasts off from Wallops Island, Virginia.

NASA scientists plan to launch a rocket Friday night carrying equipment that will study patterns of dust on the moon’s surface, as well as equipment for high-speed communications.

Clear skies!

If you live on the East Coast you may be able to see it, but if not, tune in here for the live stream.

And here’s an infographic describing all the LADEE will do.
