In tribute to Southern Dragon’s Lakeside Diner, the Over Easy community gathers to discuss news of the day of a morning.

Agitation for action by Western nations that would stop the atrocities in Syria has reached to U.N. involvement.   Britain’s resolution for intervention will come before the Security Council, asking for international action to end violence, with massive uncertainty about how that might be effected.

Hague also said he thought it would be a mistake for military action to be delayed too long. “It’s very important not to take so long to respond that people confuse what the eventual response is about,” he said.

Sources in London and Washington have been suggesting that a limited attack could take place before the end of the week, but Britain’s desire to show that it is not ignoring the UN could put that timetable in jeopardy.

Or as attaturk said earlier; ‘Oh, the joy of killing nameless, faceless, foreign folk DENIED by the pretense of doing something less noisy and visually arresting for broadcast.  Hell, even France is on board this time!’

Tunisian leadership categorized as terrorists the dissident group Ansar al-Sharia, which seeks to bring Sharia law to the Middle East.

“We have discovered proof that the Ansar group is responsible for the assassinations of Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi and the attacks at Mount Chaambi,” Prime Minister Larayedh told reporters on Tuesday.

The moderate Islamist Ennahda party – elected after the overthrow of President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali in January 2011 – stands accused by its opponents of failing to rein in radical Islamists in the country.

Since coming to power, it has faced growing unrest – particularly among the youth – over a faltering economy and a rising radical Islamist movement.

A primary effect should be an end to corruption in high places, the anticipation of China observers following the Bo Xilai trial.

Referring to China’s richest, Dong said, “You’re going to see a lot of them searching for plan B. If it’s no longer safe to operate in China, you’re going to see a sale of assets, and they are going to cash out, maybe try for a green card.”

There is a consensus among many China watchers that anti-corruption measures are necessary — even as some say that many in the ruling class and business community will take the fall.

“In the short term there will be some shock to the economy, but in the long run, it will be better,” said Yang.

India’s rupee has fallen to an alltime low against the dollar.  Lack of confidence in the currency saw much speculation about causes for this continuing loss.

Continuing its free-fall, the rupee on Wednesday breached 68-mark against the dollar by falling 176 paise to trade at a life-time low on strong demand for the US currency amid rising concerns over fiscal burden after the passage of the Food Bill.
