Congressman Rohrabacher Calls Global Warming a ‘Total Fraud’
Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, who sits on the House Science Committee, went on a tirade against climate change and the political motivations of those calling for regulating greenhouse emissions. In response to his fellow Congressional representative from California, Senator Barbara Boxer calling for a response to forest fires, Rohrabacher told a congressional town hall audience that climate change was a ‘total fraud’ and a pretext by liberals to create world government.
ROHRABACHER: Just so you know, global warming is a total fraud and it is being designed by—what you’ve got is you’ve got liberals who get elected at the local level want state government to do the work and let them make the decisions. Then, at the state level, they want the federal government to do it. And at the federal government, they want to create global government to control all of our lives. That’s what the game plan is.
It’s step by step by step, more and bigger control over our lives by higher levels of government. And global warming is that strategy in spades.… Our freedom to make our choices on transportation and everything else? No, that’s gotta be done by a government official who, by the way, probably comes from Nigeria because he’s a UN government official, not a US government official.
Let’s just table for the moment why Rohrabacher decided to make someone from Nigeria the epitome of danger.
Rohrabacher went on to claim that President Eisenhower’s farewell address was mostly about the dangers of scientists controlling the country and that government-funded scientists have gone on an intimidation campaign to gain consensus for climate change science.
Rohrabacher also offered his own analysis of the cause of climate change by recalling a joke he told former Governor Schwarznegger about ice caps melting on Mars. Congressman Rohrabacher deduced from the Martian environmental changes that the cause of climate change on planet Earth was caused by the sun because the sun was present on both planets and both planets have melting ice caps. Case closed.
