How NOM Responds To Losing Three Major Votes In One Day
Today was a good day for love and equality, with final passage of a marriage equality law by France‘s Parliament, the Rhode Island Senate Committee on Judiciary sending a marriage equality bill to the Senate for a floor vote, and passage of a marriage equality bill by the Delaware House.
A good day for love and equality is a bad day for its foe, National Organization for Marriage, which seems to have come totally unhinged.
“Victory for Marriage in New York!”, they exclaim:
Victory in New York! A higher court has reinstated a lawsuit brought by NOM that sought to protect our rights to fully and fairly participate in the political process.
Except that the lawsuit that NOM is referring to has zero to do with marriage, but rather is related to New York state’s campaign donor disclosure laws which NOM wanted to ignore.
Talk about grasping at straws. But when you’ve lost three major votes in one day and you’re NOM, I guess you just keep on keeping on…with the prevarication.
