Mayor Michael Bloomberg Calls For Reinterpreting Constitution After Boston Bombing

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has had enough of the Constitution, at least how everyone interprets it today. In response to the Boston Bombing, Mayor Bloomberg believes freedoms will have to be curtailed, to protect freedom.

In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday the country’s interpretation of the Constitution will “have to change” to allow for greater security to stave off future attacks.

“The people who are worried about privacy have a legitimate worry,” Mr. Bloomberg said during a press conference in Midtown. “But we live in a complex word where you’re going to have to have a level of security greater than you did back in the olden days, if you will. And our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change.”

Bloomberg’s Administration has become notorious for violating the Constitution. From beating on peaceful protesters to terrorizing the black and Hispanic communities to running a secret spying program against innocent Muslims, Bloomberg has already showed his disgust with the Constitution in his actions and now has followed up with his words.

Mr. Bloomberg, who has come under fire for the N.Y.P.D.’s monitoring of Muslim communities and other aggressive tactics, said the rest of the country needs to learn from the attacks. “Look, we live in a very dangerous world. We know there are people who want to take away our freedoms. New Yorkers probably know that as much if not more than anybody else after the terrible tragedy of 9/11,” he said

Yes, we do know there are people who want to take away our freedoms. Some of those people even buy themselves a third term as Mayor of New York City after promising to stop at two. Some of those wanting to take away our freedoms even suggest, as sitting chief executives, that we should have our freedoms taken away. Mayor Bloomberg has demonstrated countless times exactly why government’s power must be put in check and not expanded further.
