Bradley Manning & How His Case Poses Threat to Press Freedom

Sam Seder, who is moderating a panel event in NYC on Pfc. Bradley Manning that I am participating in tonight with Icelandic parliamentarian Birgitta Jonsdottir, journalist Alexa O’Brien and FAIR’s Peter Hart, had me on his program, “The Majority Report” yesterday.

Both parts of the segment are below. In the beginning of the interview, I outline the charges he faces and how he has pled guilty to violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice but not pled guilty to more severe federal charges. We discuss the “aiding the enemy” charge and how it poses a threat to not only press freedom but free speech. Then, we get into whether Manning is a whistleblower or not.
