Monday Watercooler

Hi, y’all.

Wildly windy around Austin today. We took down all the garden furniture that the wind didn’t knock over first. My housemate is turning a large cabin tent into a portable art gallery, and the wind pulled up a couple thick metal nail-style stakes and almost sent it across our neighborhood like a balloon. I was wrong when I said the cold nights are over — we’ll be back into the 30s this week and some gardeners I know are panicking a bit.

This 2009 performance of “Tell Him” by Esperanza Spaulding seems like it could brighten almost any day, even a Monday.

How was your weekend? Chat with us here, this is the latest MyFDL open thread.
