Homophobic Jamaican dancehall performer Beenie Man is scheduled to appear at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island, on January 24th, 2013. The lesbian group Indigo Girls is scheduled to perform the next month, on February 26th, 2013.

Then on March 3, 2013, the LGBT friendly group Tenacious D, which features actor Jack Black with Kyle Gass.

The Indigo Girls and Tenacious D will perform on a stage where, a little more than a month before, someone who has written and performed a song, Mi Nah Wallah, in which he says he would like to cut the throats of all gay men performed.

To his credit, Beenie Man has tried to reach out to LGBT people over the past year.

Still, this lineup is ironic, don’t you think?
