Geithner Planning to Leave at End of the Month
Geithner has indicated to White House officials he wants to carry through with his plan to leave the administration by the end of this month, even if a deal on the debt limit isn’t in place, according to two people familiar with the matter
At least now he will have the time to properly prepare his tax returns.
We can all only hope it’s the end of an era. But that is doubtful. There is no indication the Obama administration has decided to distance itself from Wall Street as all the potential successors being floated to replace Geithner are Wall Street veterans including Obama’s current Chief of Staff Jack Lew who worked for Citigroup.
Meet the New Geithner, same as the Old Geithner.
