Bill Nye and Penn Gillette Debate: Is Voting For “The Lesser of Two Evils” Evil?

Penn Gillette:  “If you keep voting for the lesser of two evils, things just keep getting evil.”

Bill Nye:  “These multi-team systems just don’t work out, so you gotta pick one or the other.”

I’m not taking sides here, I just report ’em, ma’am.

Just two — okay, three things:

  1. I’d never encourage anyone not to vote, so don’t ride my jock about it.
  2. Bill Nye seems to have slept through the Brooks Brothers riot.
  3. Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, and Taiwan all have multi-party systems.
