Colorado: Yes on Amendment 64 Begins Airing First TV AD

With roughly a month until the election the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol is ramping up their efforts to legalize marijuana in Colorado this year. The campaign started airing the first TV advertisement in support of Amendment 64, their initiative on the November ballot that would legalize, tax and regulate marijuana for adults.

The ad focuses on the fact that marijuana legalization would generate much need revenue for programs such as eduction. It also highlights the fact that prohibition has failed to stop people from using marijuana, instead it has only succeeded in directing large profits to criminals.

The latest public polling shows Amendment 64 narrowly winning 50 percent yes to 40 percent no, but that poll was taken before the advertising campaign began in earnest in the final stretch before the election.
