TransCanada Tarsands Blockade Call Reports

Today we launched calls into TransCanada’s offices protesting the treatment of Tarsands Blockade activists, who report they were tortured by police after a huddle with TransCanda representatives.

You can sign the petition demanding TransCanada CEO Russell Girling denounce the torture of the Keystone XL Blockaders.

We’ll be working with the Tarsands Blockade folks to have them delivered to TransCanada representatives in Texas.

Then call TransCanada’s corporate offices to demand immediate action.

Mike Community, Safety & Environment Voicemail I tried to reach Ethics Help-Line, with no answer. Left voice message demanding public apology for violence/torture used against protesters. Indicated that this was unacceptable and hundreds of thousands of people were aware of what happened. Left my name and phone number. Told them that, “Violence is never the answer.”
Eric Media contact The woman I spoke to said that TransCanada doesn’t have the right to tell police officers how to do their jobs and that no representative of the company would have instructed local authorities on how to handle the situation with the protesters. Naturally, I didn’t believe a word she said.
Nell Head Office receptionist who put me to media office which was voice mail. voice mail.
I said I just heard of this abuse of peaceful protestors and will fight this abuse and spread the word.

Karenese Head Office lisa She hadn’t heard about this till calls started coming in. Said the company had been trying to be very respectful of the protesters and was distressed about situation.
H.B. Head Office media relations took my phone number and said they would pass on my message
Sheila Ethics Help-Line “Danny” It would take en to fifteen minutes to file a report with him for further investigation. I didn’t want to take that much time.
Sheila Head Office Media Relations voicemail. I was connected to Media Relations and left a voicemail expressing my horror and demand for a public statement.
Lisa Head Office was transferred to “Media line” Left a message which was the entire script provided.
Marshal Head Office receptionist transferred me to media line to leave a message
Brink Head Office receptionist put me through to “media line’, and that was just a voice mail. I left a message. Receptionist interrupted me and put me through to “media line”, which was then a voicemail. I left a message.

Brink Keystone Pipeline Operations Receptionist She said, “Thank you very much, Ms Brink, I will register your complaint. Bye now.”
Bernie Left message My call is important to them,maybe more need to call. I protested. Vigorously the treatment of the protesters and the pipeline in general.
Amalgamation Head Office receptionist Transferred to media dept. Where they were taking no calls but I left a nice message for them. I explained that in Alaska we frown on extractive co who do not respect human rights to protest.
Lauren Head Office Voicemail Told them I was planning to join the protesters and would be bringing media with me to publicize this torture to a wider audience than those who read left wing blogs.
Greenwoman Head Office Receptionist Due to heavy volume, they were transferring me, but no one was available. Left a message also with Keystone Pipeline, as they were not answering.
