Wingnut Nirvana
Hirsute fop Mark Steyn and Our Lady Of The Still Shrink-Wrapped Vagina Kathryn Jean Lopez are not very happy with the response to the Susan G. Komen’s very Jackass-esque (Do it, man. C’mon. Don’t be a pussy! …snicker snicker… Omigawd, they’re really going to do it! Get the camera…) antics this week. Instead of manning up (which I at least expected out of K-Lo) and admitting that the  Komen people were the ones who thought sticking a fork in the wall outlet would be wicked cool, they’re blaming Planned Parenthood for showing the Komen people where they keep keep the silverware.

Let’s start with Steyn who has a well-known antipathy toward  ladies who don’t see themselves as elaborately constructed Steyn Spawn poopers:

Dream on. Liberals take the same view as the proprietors of the Dar al-Islam: Once they hold this land, they hold it forever. Notwithstanding that those who give to the foundation are specifically giving to support breast-cancer research, Komen could not be permitted to get away with disrespecting Big Abortion. We don’t want to return to the bad old days of the back alley, when a poor vulnerable person who made the mistake of stepping out of line had to be forced into the shadows and have the realities explained to them with a tire iron. Now Big Liberalism’s enforcers do it on the front pages with the panjandrums of tolerance and diversity cheering them all the way. In the wake of Komen’s decision, the Yale School of Public Health told the Washington Post’s Sarah Kliff that its invitation to Nancy Brinker to be its commencement speaker was now “under careful review.” Because God forbid anybody doing a master’s program at an Ivy League institution should be exposed to anyone not in full 100 percent compliance with liberal orthodoxy. The American Association of University Women announced it would no longer sponsor teams for Komen’s “Race for the Cure.” Sure, Komen has raised $2 billion for the cure, but better we never cure breast cancer than let a single errant Injun wander off the abortion reservation. Terry O’Neill of the National Organization for Women said Komen “is no longer an organization whose mission is to advance women’s health.” You preach it, sister. I mean, doesn’t the very idea of an organization obsessively focused on breasts sound suspiciously patriarchal?

Now for Kathryn Jean Lopez whose life revolves around making sure that other ladies don’t abort the babies she would totally have if God hadn’t seen fit to condemn her to a life of being Kathryn Jean Lopez:

Komen has been outgunned in the PR wars in recent days, but its decision (for which it has now apologized in a desperate attempt to make the public shakedown stop — perhaps a white flag is a more appropriate emblem than a pink ribbon) never deserved the hellish backlash that Planned Parenthood and its defenders unleashed on it. A fair-minded observer could reasonably view Komen’s decision as inevitable: In a day when so many of us have such unprecedented access to a vast array of information resources, it was increasingly hard for Komen to overlook the fact that Planned Parenthood is not exactly a mecca for mammograms – Planned Parenthood doesn’t do them and they don’t even have the facilities to do them. Komen’s mission to end breast cancer was thus not being directly served by Planned Parenthood, which was at best a middleman in that fight. And even with its regrettable backpedaling, Komen’s reservations about working with the organization have struck a blow to the conventional spin that women’s health and pro-abortion views are inextricably linked.

K-Lo and Steyn conveniently skip over Komen’s Continuously Evolving Variations On A Theme Of Why We Did Something Stupid, so they move on to the emerging “we need to help women escape the insidious think-for-themselves liberal harem” meme which you may remember in a previous iteration where it was the blacks (or “blahs” as we currently know them) who are kept on the liberal  plantation by giving them welfare checks redeemable for t-bones, X-Boxes and malt liquor. In the case of women, they are being kept barefoot and not pregnant by people like Planned Parenthood with their elitist low cost health services which is bad-awful because it allows them to act like complete whores having sex sex sex sexty sex sex and not babies, which is just as well since the blah plantation welfare encourages blah plantation ladies to have extra welfare babies … so it all kind of evens out in the end.

Having excluded facts, reality, honesty, and critical thought, what has Steyn & K-Lo butthurt is the reaction to Planned Parenthood’s announcement that the Komen Foundation was defunding them (so therefore they had created a webpage devoted to raising money to continue breast cancer screening for poor women to make up for the shortfall) and so they are blaming PP for unleashing the Crazy Health Lady Krakens on Komen’s ass. These jackbooted stormtroopers, by voting with their wallets (by personally defunding SGK) and with their feet (by vowing to never participate in another SGK Warm & Fuzzy PinkWalk for The Merchandising) are stomping all over the Komen Foundation’s freedom … to make a buck. This is fascism/totalitarianism/censorship/blasphemy (K-Lo only). How dare they not give money to the Komen Foundation to do with how they please! What makes these contributors think that they should have a say in how it is spent? Sure allowing an unelected controlling authority make decisions about how to spend other people’s money for the good of all is socialism, but it’s the good corporate don’t-worry-your-pretty-little-head socialism tied up with a nice pink bow…

And who doesn’t love that?

Yeah. Like I would tell you....
