ProPublica sets us straight on what the NY “Tax Overhaul” really means:

“The tax overhaul that New York state passed this week has been widely described in news reports as raising taxes on the rich and cutting them for the middle class — even as a win for Occupy Wall Street protesters and a possible blueprint for Congress.

But perhaps New Yorkers need to take a closer look.

Under the overhaul, which was passed on Thursday, one bracket of wealthy New Yorkers will get a bigger tax cut than the taxpayers in any other bracket. Specifically, individuals making between $500,000 and $2 million will pay 2.12 percent less in state income taxes for 2012. In contrast, individuals making between $40,000 and $150,000 are only getting a reduction of 0.4 percent, as this New York Times chart shows. .”

Do  they think we are stupid?  Obviously they do or they would not continue to try to pass off their gifts to the 1% as gifts to the majority.

ILWQ COMMENTS:   LOOK THE GIFT HORSE IN THE MOUTH–ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A DEMOCRAT OR A REPUBLICAN ELECTED OFFICIAL.

In case you haven’t noticed, the overwhelming majority of them are Wall Street politicians–whether Democrat or Republican.  They should be called “The Wall Street Party” —  They are not “bipartisan.”  They are one party representing the 1% all the way–regardless their propaganda to the contrary.

Following the example of our errant Boy Scout President, they are experts at making their actions look like actions that support the majority, when in fact they most certainly do not.  Most of them are outright liars and they know that they are lying and stretching the truth.   You can fully expect them all to go into over drive during 2012 proving how much they have done for all of us.  Don’t believe a damn word of it.  Toss them all out!

In the case of ALL INCUMBENTS, look the “gift horse” in the mouth–but be careful because their breath is as toxic as carbon monoxide.
