Hey everyone!  Long-time FDL lurker here, and I am posting for the first time to get your feedback about a question that has come up a lot recently in my life and possibly yours as we head into 2012.  I voted for President Obama in 2008, impressed with his lofty goals for the nation and his high priority on social justice for all Americans.  Like many others, I have become quite disenchanted over the past few years.  I was disappointed with the weakness of the health care bill, and I wish the president had pushed harder for the DREAM Act and stronger protections for the LGBT community.  My final straw was when Obama did not fight for the middle class during the labor fights in Wisconsin, Ohio, and across the nation earlier this year

My question is this– How do I justify voting for the President again?  Is a third party candidate who can really change this nation a plausible idea?  Where do I go from here?

Thank you for all your feedback!
