Call To Action: Primarying Obama

Former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel, and hero of the Pentgon Papers, is willing to put his neck on the line to change the (Obama-corrupted) message produced by The Democratic Party. Here’s his statement:

Somebody should challenge Obama, there’s no question about it. He is what he is, and it’s not what we want,” former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel said in an interview with The Daily Caller. “I’d be happy to do it, but it takes money. Without enough money to be heard, you come off as somewhat foolish.”

Gravel said he will challenge Obama if there is sufficient financial backing.

“If [supporters] would put up $1 million, I probably would run. And that would at least fund enough activity to get a message out,” Gravel said.

So let’s do it.
What have we got to lose?

4 more years of Obama will tear apart Medicare, Social Security, and keep us permamnetly stuck wasting Trillions of taxpayer dollars overseas on 5 Wars, protecting the rich — and making it way too easy to lead us right down the “austerity” hell hole.

We need another voice, and Mike Gravel is one courageous mother f*cker who will challenge Obama on every policy front, and force a new dialog on policy that we do not have today, and will not have otherwise.

This is a call to action to fund Mike Gravel now, and push the Democratic Party away from its right-wing straight-jacket, and back into being a credible voice for the people once again.

Here’s Mike’s full statement: http://dailycaller.com/2011/08/09/gravel-says-a-million-dollars-to-challenge-the-president/#ixzz1UxT8suj6

“We have never been in a worse situation with respect to leadership. We’ve been in a lot of bad ones, but what we have today equals many of the bad ones of the past.

He presented himself not as what he is; he presented himself as you would want him to be. And then, of course, when he gets power he turns out to be what he is: a tool of the military-industrial complex and Wall Street.”

Unlike Obama, Mike Gravel is on our side.
Shouldn’t we be on his?
