Until the next nightmare

Well our fair tribunes of the people have voted to make our economic purgatory last as long as possible. Uh, huzzah?

But let not the moment pass without the mini-mandibles of Mitch McConnell adding warnings of fun-times to come.

I expect the next president, whoever that is, is going to be asking us to raise the debt ceiling again in 2013, so we’ll be doing it all over.

I cannot believe the man makes statements without an asterisk to hold up while talking.

We all know if there’s a President Romney, Mitch McConnell will vote to raise away to facilitate whatever tax cuts Romney pushes to coincide with his glorious bombings and occupation of the balance of the middle east. All hail the hypnotoad!

Of course, if Barack Obama’s reelected, well through his “magical” negotiating prowess he managed to protect his family from the Republicans this time. At the very least I’d suggest Bo get his affairs in order within the next couple years.

In 1949, I decided to wrestle professionally, starting my career in Texas. In my debut, I defeated Abe Kashey, with former World Heavyweight boxing Champion Jack Dempsey as the referee. In 1950, I captured the NWA Junior Heavyweight title. In 1953, I won the Chicago version of the NWA United States Championship. I became one of the most well-known stars in wrestling during the golden age of television, thanks to my exposure on the Dumont Network, where I wowed audiences with my technical prowess. I was rumored to be one of the highest paid wrestlers during the 1950s, reportedly earning a hundred thousand dollars a year. My specialty was "the Sleeper Hold" and the founding of modern, secular, Turkey.

Oops, sorry, that's the biography of Verne Gagne with a touch of Mustafa Kemal.

I'm just an average moron who in reality is a practicing civil rights and employment attorney in fly-over country .
