In this book Ralph made wild and unsubstattiated charges that hurt GM and the Corvair. Although testing showed otherwise the Corvair never recovered. Nader’s beginning was built on a falsehood and by being incorrect.

The Corvair Is Exonerated
At the conclusion of these tests, the NHTSA released its 134 page report. It exonerated the Corvair from Nader’s charges, and said things such as: “The 1960-63 Corvair compares favorably with contemporary vehicles used in the tests,”

“Two sides of the same coin”
This is a main argument put forth by Mr. Nader. It has done nothing constructive and has just promoted two opposite side to become even more entrenched.

This distrust of government and politicians is unfolding as a full-blown crisis of legitimacy sidelines Democrats and liberalism. Just a quarter of the country is optimistic about our system of government — the lowest since polls by ABC and others began asking this question in 1974. But a crisis of government legitimacy is a crisis of liberalism. It doesn’t hurt Republicans. If government is seen as useless, what is the point of electing Democrats who aim to use government to advance some public end?

Nader: just as wealthy as the rest of Washington

Ralph Nader, a very wealthy man, at last report owns stock in Occidental, Enron, Raytheon and McDonald’s. To my knowledge, there have been no reports of his having sold of his shares in a score of corporate pariahs–AC

Nader’s Net Worth:

Net worth: $4.2 Million

No difference between Gore and Bush?

“Now that President George W. Bush has rejected the Kyoto treaty on global warming, the student asked, now that he’s broken his campaign pledge to reduce carbon-dioxide emissions and has scuttled a Clinton administration rule cutting arsenic pollution, do you still think there was no difference between him and Al Gore?”

I think he’s hurt the country,” says Roger Hickey, a longtime admirer of Nader who co-edited The Next Agenda: Blueprint for a New Progressive Movement and is director of Campaign for America’s Future, a progressive think tank in Washington, D.C.

Nader caused 2000 election to go to Bush. Regardless of political views this one election helped to split and divide the country further.
He now calls for Obama to be impeached. He called for Bush-Cheney to be impeached.

Does Ralph have a grip on reality? Is he implicitly promoting a new civil war?
