I just joined, first post, so forgive me if this is old stuff already. I was very distraught to see Elizabeth Warren passed over for continuing to head the consumer protection bureau. Is it another case of spinelessness on the part of our fearless leader?
I am still holding my breath, hoping there is a plan afoot. As a resident of Massachusetts, I would love to have her take back Ted Kennedy’s seat in the Senate. Did she really leave the fledgling protection bureau in competant hands to do this? And do I have to believe that women’s issue watchers like NOW are all on board? I have to say that Ralph Nader made some excellent observations to the contrary (see Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now for Tues, July 19).
