What a quick week it was after the long weekend and an amazing 4th of July for us at the Lake.
Before I give an update, a generous member of our community contacted me yesterday afternoon and would like to donate a membership to someone who is unable to afford it. If you, or someone you know is in need of assistance at this time, and would like to become an FDL Member, please send me an email at email@example.com, or comment below.
As we continue to grow in size and strength, it is important to us that we have a sense of direction, as well as smart people who we can trust to lead our membership program. Please join me and welcoming Bill Egnor, who you may recognize from MyFDL, as our Director of Membership Services. He will be there to assist current members with site issues, membership questions, while also reaching out to companies and organizations for more member benefits.
Additionally, Bill will be heading our first ever Volunteer program soon. We have been fortunate to have many of you offer your help in the past, and we want to be able to offer an organized method to facilitate volunteers, and make use of your amazing skills. We cannot express enough how happy and appreciative we are to receive emails offering technical support, requests to call new members, and many other modes of assistance. We will release updates as this project progresses.
As for membership news, there are two upcoming webinars, and the dates will be released soon.
First off, we have Nancy Altman who will be discussing, in depth, the recent events with social security. We are also happy to bring Adam Kanzer, from Citizens United.
To receive an invite to these webinars, great FDL gifts, and member discounts, sign up or check out more info here.
Thank you all for helping to build this program. We look forward to working with you in the coming months.
