Here it is Pride Day and what is going on? Religious leaders are already threatening to stop inviting politicians who voted for marriage equality for gay citizens in New York. From the New York Daily News article:

Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, of the diocese of Brooklyn, called on all Catholic schools to reject any honor bestowed upon them by Gov. Cuomo, who played a pivotal role in getting the bill passed.

He further asked all pastors and principals to “not invite any state legislator to speak or be present at any parish or school celebration.”

Is it just me or is this churches entering the political realm in a way that probably ought to invalidate their tax free status.

Anyway there is a poll asking

Do you agree with the legislature on gay marriage?
Yes, the bill needed to be approved. 13%
No, I don’t think that gay marriage should be legal. 86%
I’m not sure yet. 0%

As you can see, this is way out of whack and there must be some Rightwingers on the paper since all the gay folks and their friends are out at Pride Day events. So click on the link to the poll and vote and lets not give the good people of New York or anywhere else the impression that legalized discrimination is not what the American people want. That is for tiered old bigots who where fancy dresses to work, like Bishop DiMarzio.

The floor is yours.
