I know my Mommy says it’s not nice to call someone “Poopy”, but I think that she would have to agree that Poopy Pat is just so full of poop, and keeps spreading it everywhere because he’s on TV so much, that we just can’t call  him anything else.  He also gets to write in newspapers, and today his writing is something that doctors who study people with sick brains call “projection”.  The doctors say that projection is when you are doing something wrong but accuse other people of doing that wrong thing.  In today’s column, Poopy Pat says that “Last week, however, hate speech was back in style.”  He then goes on to talk about Muskrat Hair Donnie saying that Mr. O shouldn’t have gotten into Harvard.

“Yes!”, I thought, “Muskrat Hair Donnie really was being racist when he said Mr. O shouldn’t have gotten into Harvard.”  But Poopy Pat was using projection, and he was saying that the people who called Muskrat Hair Donnie racist were the ones using hate speech:

After Donald Trump called on Obama to release his original birth certificate and produce the academic records and test scores that put him on a bullet train from being a “terrible student” at Occidental College to Columbia, Harvard Law and Harvard Law Review editor, charges of “racism” have saturated the airwaves.

That’s so funny! If anyone wants to study hate speech, one of the best places to do it is on this website, where we see mean things that Poopy Pat has said over the years about anyone who isn’t an old, fat white guy. The website is kind of old (like Poopy Pat), but his words are still with us. Here’s what he says about people with black skin:

On race relations in the late 1940s and early 1950s: “There were no politics to polarize us then, to magnify every slight. The ‘negroes’ of Washington had their public schools, restaurants, bars, movie houses, playgrounds and churches; and we had ours.” (Right from the Beginning, Buchanan’s 1988 autobiography, p. 131)

He also says mean things about men who love men and women who love women:

On AIDS, Buchanan wrote in 1983: “The poor homosexuals — they have declared war upon nature, and now nature is extracting an awful retribution (AIDS).” (Los Angeles Times, 11/28/86) Later that year, he demanded that New York City Ed Koch and New York Gov. Mario Cuomo cancel the Gay Pride Parade or else “be held personally responsible for the spread of the AIDS plague.” “With 80,000 dead of AIDS, our promiscuous homosexuals appear literally hell-bent on Satanism and suicide,” Buchanan wrote in 1990 (syndicated column, 10/17/90). In the 1992 campaign, he declared: “AIDS is nature’s retribution for violating the laws of nature.” (Seattle Times, 7/31/93)

And, of course, Poopy Pat hates women in general:

“Rail as they will about ‘discrimination,’ women are simply not endowed by nature with the same measures of single-minded ambition and the will to succeed in the fiercely competitive world of Western capitalism.” (syndicated column, 11/22/83)

Poopy Pat needs to meet some of the women here at Firedoglake. He’ll find out what fierce competition is all about.

Poopy Pat has been spreading his poop for over forty years, but he’s still mean to people who are different from him. I’m usually a lot less cranky after a big poop, so I don’t know why Poopy Pat is still so mean after all this poop. My Mommy tells me that everyone is different, and that’s what makes us special. Poopy Pat thinks different is bad instead of special. That’s really sad when you think about it.
