Will the Right Condemn David Petraeus for His Cowardly Indulgence of Moral Equivalence?
What a politically-correct surrender monkey.
“This was a surprise,” Gen. Petraeus said. The Quran burning in Florida, he added, was “hateful, extremely disrespectful and enormously intolerant.”
For most functioning adults, condemning self-promoting acts of unabashed bigotry is a no-brainer. And even for those with mild disabilities, condemning acts of bigotry that put American lives at risk is still pretty doable.
But when the bigot is a Christian wingnut and his target is Islam, well, that does complicate things a bit for the mouth-breathing right. So they’ve spent the last few days lashing out at Obama and the media (who else?) for…criticizing Jones. Seriously.
So now that Dave Petraeus has blamed Jones personally for endangering our war effort in Afghanistan, I’m looking forward to hearing how he’s a “pathetic Caliph” who’s prostrated himself at the altar of multiculturalism. I can’t wait to see how he’s sheepishly bowing down to “a primitive, alien religion.” I’m sure I’ll read that he should know Muslims “will find any excuse to attack us,” and that by “kowtowing” to Islam, he’s choosing slavery and inviting attacks on our freedoms.
Yep, those nasty anti-Petraeus screeds are coming any second now.
