As I watch the situation in Wisconsin unfold from afar I’m amazed. I’m amazed at the spontaneity and courage that the thousands upon thousands have shown. I think for the first couple of days just joyful to watch the people really coming together, occupying the Capitol, rallying outside, marching in the streets. Now comes word that Governor Walker has jammed his bill through. I guess I’m really hoping to see a general strike in the state. It would be difficult to see all of the people and organizations who have kept the fight going, go back to work and their lives with substantially less rights and power. I know there are some efforts to recall some Republicans who voted for the bill, and that may very well work. Either way, the most important question is what would the governor do if his state was shut down? What are your thoughts?
