Longtime Tucson resident and former US Surgeon General Dr. Richard Carmona delivered a heartfelt statement to the press in Tucson Saturday evening.

Dr. Carmona, formerly a Tucson trauma surgeon and Pima County law enforcement official, remains actively involved in his own community.
