The Neocon Agenda for 2010 and Beyond
As election day approaches, people will vote to decide which party they want in power, even though the truth is it doesn’t matter who wins because the real losers won’t be the party who lost, but us because the status quo will remain in tact for years to come until people realize that the government is working against them, not for them. This is apparent with the neocons in the Republican Party who have proven to America that they will not change anything when they get in power.
For example, they claim to oppose HCR, but if history is correct, these were the same Republicans who voted for Medicare Part D and enthusiastically supported Romneycare. If it was up to them, they would have had their own version of big government healthcare that would perpetuate the status quo . They have no intention of repealing healthcare, so don’t fall for this lie. Second, they claim to oppose bailouts even though they supported TARP and the GM-Chrysler bailout. As far as I’m concerned they will continue to bailout their buddies (i.e. military contractors) regardless of what their supporters say. With regards to stimulus, everyone already knows that they pretend to oppose it, but secretly demand stimulus dollars and not to mention they supported the first stimulus package under Bush. They’ll implement their own version of stimulus in the form of tax cuts that will increase the deficit unless spending is cut (i.e. military spending overseas) but that will never happen because they like going overseas to countries that never posed a threat to us in the first place. And forget about an audit of the Federal Reserve because they will keep Ron Paul from bringing it up again because the Fed props up the military industrial complex they worship. The Republicans have never cared about the free market because they like giving corporate subsidies to their corporate pals. Their Pledge to America should be retitled Pledge to the Status Quo because that’s all they care about.
In the end, neocons don’t want “change”, only the change that they will implement to transfer wealth from the poor to the rich, perpetuate our path towards a police state, declare war against other nations for no reason other than their own, and perpetuating our corporatist system. I don’t want the Democrats to win, but I really don’t want the Republicans to win either.
