Prop 19 Day of Action: Help Legalize Pot After the Stewart-Colbert Rally
With just 8 days til Election Day and a neck-and-neck race for Prop 19, every minute counts to get out the vote for legalizing marijuana in California. A new poll from Yes on 19 shows that young voters overwhelmingly support Prop 19 – as many as 3 out of 4 young voters will support the proposition to legalize pot.
In order to get these young voters to the polls, Just Say Now is organizing a Prop 19 Day of Action to take place across the country on Saturday, October 30.
Can you pledge to call young voters on Saturday to help pass Prop 19?
(If you can’t call, can you please chip in $10 to our campaign to pass Prop 19 instead?)
Why Saturday? Well, aside from the fact it’s just 3 days before Election Day, it’s also the day of the big Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert Rallies for Sanity and Fear in DC, with satellite events happening nationwide. More than any other day, Saturday is when young people will be fired up and paying attention.
Plus – as you can see from the image on this post – Jon Stewart even suggested “legalize pot” as a rally sign for his DC event.
Just Say Now activists have already made more than 10,000 calls to young voters in California for Prop 19. This is incredible – but we should double this number by the election to really make an impact.
We’re down to the wire, folks. Every call you make (or dollar you donate) will go a long way to helping pass Prop 19 and legalizing marijuana in California.
