A must-read from “The New Yorker”

While the article talks about the climate change legislation and the byzantine politicking around it, the article provides a good insight of how the current Administration deals with its own “priorities”. All ten pages of the story are an envelopping look at the unprecedented legislation (unprecedented in the sense of whom it brought to the table and what different players have done to reach a consensus). The bill was not perfect from any position, but it definitely looked like a move forward with a realistic chance to pass. It also may provide clues as to why even the closest-to-moderation Republicans (remember that Lindsay Graham was actually working with Democrats on immigration?) may be now unwilling to work with the Democratic majority in Congress.

And that whole story is about what during the primary campaign was priority more important than healthcare reform.
