For example, the case of Rich Iott (R) who's running for the Ninth District House seat in Ohio, challenging incumbent Marcy Kaptur (D). Seems this guy, who is backed by the Tea Party, likes spending weekends as a member of the Waffen SS:

He says it's just harmless weekend entertainment. Purely a “historical interest in World War II.” Well, I'm a World War II buff as well, but I don't go off and dress as a member of the Waffen SS and participate in re-creating Operation Barbarossa on weekends. And get this-the “division” he's in isn't just any division of the Waffen SS. It's the Wiking Panzer Division. The REAL Wiking Panzer Division was made up of fanatical Scandanavian Nazis who were promised farms in the Ukraine if the Nazis won the war, complete with their own Ukranian slaves-after all, the Ukranians were Slavs-which the Nazis considered “untermenchen” or subhuman. They also did their part to massacre other human beings the Nazis considered “untermenchen”-Jews. From Wikipedia:

Members of the division's bakery column, led by Obersturmführer Braunnagel and Untersturmführer Kochalty, assisted Einsatzgruppe A in rounding up Ukrainian Jews. Witnesses report that the Jewish victims were forced to run a gauntlet formed by soldiers who would beat them as they passed, and when they reached the end of the gauntlet, Einsatzgruppen officers murdered them and their bodies were pushed into a bomb crater … Between 50 and 60 Jews were killed in this manner, as a part of the larger Einsatzgruppe operation which resulted in over 700 murders.

These nutbars are going to end up giving the GOP LOTS of headaches. Watch. I don't even think Reagan (as senile as he was) was THIS stupid. Oh, wait a minute..there's that little incident at Bitburg, Germany to contend with.

OK, do we REALLY want people like this in the House? I think you know the answer to that question. Vote.
