James O’Keefe: As Creepy and Classless as Pretty Much Every Other Right-Wing Media Hero
It seems like only yesterday that Andrew Breitbart’s boy was being hailed as a “pioneer in journalism” deserving of a Pulitzer, an American hero — who Glenn Beck praised as the new right-wing Woodward and Bernstein.
Alas, the National Review now says it was all a big mistake.
This CNN episode ought to convince all conservatives that not only should O’Keefe’s behavior be condemned, but conservative leaders and organizations need to do a better job of assessing the maturity level and character of the people they hire, support, or praise.
Right, because as we all know, wingnut media types are notorious for their maturity level and character.
I mean, you wouldn’t want to elevate a pill-popping sex tourist or someone who stalks children or mocks a woman’s miscarriage on live radio or is a degenerate gambler or browbeats his employer with sexually-explicit insults and jerks off while talking to her on the phone, or say, tells a gay man to die of AIDS on national teevee.
I mean, golly, what would become of the conservative movement if people like that were allowed in?
