By the time we got to Woodstock…
There should be some kind of rule that you can’t call a large gathering of people a “Woodstock” unless attendance is expected to surpass, at minimum, six digits and, no, that doesn’t include decimal points to account for the attending pre-born:
An event described as the “Woodstock” of tea parties is planned for Sept. 11 at the Monona County Fairgrounds in Onawa in western Iowa.
Craig Halverson of Griswold, who is helping to organize the event, said supporters hope to attract at least 1,000 people from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and other states. He said they are inviting prominent conservative speakers and plan to have bands perform patriotic music.
One thousand people is not a “Woodstock”. One thousand people is a company picnic that got a little out of hand.
However:
…1,000 people from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota
…holds the potential to be the whitest get-together you will ever see outside of a mime convention.
(Sorry. From the comments I see that teh Sadly’s already covered this. East Coast/Euro elitists that they are.)
