So this is how grownups play...

Riders astride people dressed as ponies — replete with leather boot–hooves and saddles — hunt with people dressed as dogs to find the “fox” and bring it back for potluck and a toast.

Let’s applaud this on First Amendment grounds and for getting people out into the lovely spring forest, though organizers should really have warned people about rattlesnakes and poison ivy! This was sponsored by the  L.A. Ponies and Critters Club and held in one of Los Angeles’  most lovely of parks, Angeles Crest National Forest.
