The Palin Delusion
Let’s be honest about the quitter governor from Alaska, it’s hard to know what her agenda is and what she wants to do in the future. According to an ABC News report she has been making $12 million in 2009 off her book (seriously, most of her books were sold in Newsmax for 75% off), and her speaking engagements. To me, she is selling her supporters down the river, and that is not what anyone should do.
To be fair, I am not suggesting Palin is stupid, what I am saying is that it’s hard to determine what she is up to or who she really is. Seriously, nobody can determine who she really is and she wants in the future, but she can sure sell a book using her own money. In other words, she is a snake oil salesman who sucks at selling her own crap.
To liberals, she is a stupid redneck who can’t read above a fifth grade level. You can find this kind of criticism at MSNBC, CNN and the cesspool of the media. To neocons, she is the messiah sent to save them from Obama and she is an employee for neocon Fox News. To us libertarians, she is an unexperienced woman who should not run for president and should instead study the issues.
The reason I talk about the Palin Delusion is because so many people on both sides either praise her or excoriate her for no reason without any evidence or logic. People should realize that Palin is not stupid (even though she is), she is a puppet for the establishment because it is easier to manipulate them as I said before. Palin is a sad example of how the party establishment picks dumbed down candidates to try to reach out to "real America" when in fact we need an intellectual leader who has the backbone to tell it like it is. The Palin Delusion is defined as this: The stupidity of both sides defending or attacking her without understanding that she is playing both of them. Palin is a good actor, but unlike the liberals and neocons, I see behind that facade, and what I see is a fraud who behaves as if she is the future of the country. That’s how I define the Palin Delusion.
